Live Panel Discussion: Can Anyone Be An Activist?

Wednesday 20 November

The Can We Just Ask Panel will be discussing whether anyone can be an activist. Are organisations like Extinction Rebellion too un-relatable to ever make a big enough impact beyond their supporters?

What will be discussed?

The conversation will ask questions about activism, its downfalls and its successes. The following topics will be covered:

  • Is activism inherently inaccessible beyond a certain sector of society?
  • Are organisations like Extinction Rebellion too un-relatable to ever make a big enough impact beyond their supporters?
  • How does community activism help to project the voice of society and how can everyone get involved?
  • Does community activism need to adapt to the digital world, or is it already one-step ahead?
  • What's next for community activism, and how can we raise the voice of the smaller organisations who are already making a big impact?

How will you take part?

As always, the panel will be audience-led. Everyone in the room is encouraged to:

  • Participate in the conversation
  • Make statements
  • Ask questions
  • Share their thoughts

There is no such thing as a stupid question!

Tickets are £6 (includes VAT), and the ticket price will go directly to support The Mix, who are a UK based charity that provides free, confidential support for young people under 25 via online, social and mobile.
