There might be a bit of a wait (but less than some supermarkets’ six week wait for a home delivery) so now’s not the time to abandon the organic and ethical food stores that we know you love.
We’ve rounded the ones we can track down that are still delivering and taking new customers.
Delivery times and stock might change but for now you can order from these food shops that deliver. And because these food shops rock, they’re also still trying to help other people through donations and online product ‘banks’. Read on for more information.
Food Shops That Deliver: These Ethical & Organic Stores Are Taking Orders
Good Club
Zero waste online organic and sustainable supermarket Good Club is an online zero waste supermarket that stocks organic and sustainable basics. It launched last year and provides hundreds of basics in returnable and recyclable packages, at often a lower cost to most supermarkets. Read more here.
Good Club do have a temporary waitlist, but they will be open to new business in the next 5-7 days (at time of writing). Orders are limited to £250 and for now there is free shipping.
Good Club are working out how they can make regular food bank donations but make a food bank donation for every new shopper.
Ethical Superstore
Ethical Superstore has been incredibly busy these last few weeks with shoppers stocking up on reusables and plastic free essentials. These guys stock everything from groceries and seasonal stuff, like Fairtrade Easter eggs to eco-friendly cleaning products, sustainable skincare, haircare and home and garden essentials.
While some stock is taking a while to replenish, the food shop says it is getting new stock in all the time and working on making sure they have the essentials.
Ethical Superstore say to expect deliveries to take around seven days, but there is a next day delivery for anyone who needs something urgently. Pick up services aren’t operational at the moment.
They have also partnered with Ella Daish’s #EndPeriodPoverty campaign and you can donate plastic free period products to the Eco Period Box at check out for those in need, through the Changing Lives charity. For every 10 items donated, Ethical Superstore donate a further two.
Forman & Field
Forman & Field offer fabulously fresh, restaurant quality food, available for next day delivery to homes across the United Kingdom. This top-notch supplier used to only funnel food to restaurants, but it now is open to anyone wanting to order food at home, that you’d normally be happy paying a small fortune for dining out.
If you’re overwhelmed at cooking from scratch every night or are running out of steam in the kitchen, you can order fuss free food here that’s ready to cook.
The Black Cod in Miso, which is supplied by Forman’s to London’s top restaurants and sold for over £30 a piece, is £12.50 per portion or their Lobster and Salmon Fishcakes are £4.50 each. While it’s not an everyday basics kind of store, it might change things up, while we stay at home all spring.
They also stock all British ingredients across the very best meat, charcuterie, cheese, patisserie and even the finest English wine.
Fresh Range
Fresh Range work with an array of British suppliers, producers and farms to bring organic and sustainable fruit, veg, meat, bread and cheese to your door. Think local producers, sustainable packaging and the very freshest food. Plus these guys help protect British wildlife and pay farmers properly.
From organic veggies to homemade bone broth to recipe collections so you’ve got everything you need to make mouthwatering meals in the kitchen with minimum effort, fresh range has it covered. They’re still delivering. Oh and they also do booze.
The Ethical Butcher
The Ethical Butcher launched last year to offer up the highest quality organic and sustainable meat, not just from the usual suspects but also from less well known sources like venison and goat. It all comes in plastic free and sustainable packaging. Great for a treat. Dinner party video call anyone?

Don’t forget…
Many local farm shops and independent organic grocers are delivering to local homes and are often better stocked than the big guys.
