Sitting a little bigger than an Airpods case the House of Marley Redemption ANC 2 True Wireless Earbuds are a handy sustainable headphones option.

The black case feels sturdy and is made from recycled plastic and sustainably sourced wood fibre, and my immediate thought is it it feels lovely to hold. Three sizes of soft gel ear buds came with the package, with no plastic in sight.

The earbuds have Active Noise Cancellation, Echo Noise Cancellation and Audio Passthrough mode which means they cut out pretty much every bit of background noise and make for a rich listening experience. I plugged myself in on a recent train trip to London and nothing, not even screaming kids on holiday, seeped in over the ANC.

Swap to ENC however and the headphones focus on your voice, which means I could make calls and not sound like I was stuck down the bottom of a well.

My House of Marley Redemption ANC 2 True Wireless Earbuds were tested out not just commuting on trains but also on holiday camping, where I had a gorgeous afternoon, lying on a rug in the sunshine listening to Spotify.

The buds are super comfy, the sound’s incredible and I love the fact that even something small like your headphones can help plant trees and give back.

The case will also charge the buds on the move, meaning you’ve got 24 hours of audio pleasure. They also have a two year guarantee which makes me feel like they’re going to last.

There’s always an app. It’s easy to sync the headphones to the House of Marley app, where you can save exactly how you like your music – a tweak of bass here and there, and lock in your settings in terms of noise cancellation and you can change the touch controls to suit you. It’s handy if you’re constantly having to switch between various uses and modes.
