One for the diary, the award-winning sustainability festival, SustFest22, is returning to St Albans District this May.

Taking place on Sunday 15th May to Tuesday 31st May 2022 across St Albans, Harpenden and the villages, the sixth annual festival will be a celebration of having a lighter impact on the planet.

The festival is expected to host at least 100 events across St Albans and the wider district, bringing together eco-businesses, community groups and charities. Many events will be free.

What is Sustainability Festival 2022?

The sixth annual award-winning Sustainability Festival is a hybrid festival that features a range of over 100 events and activities to encourage people to think about eco-friendly living and connecting with nature.

Events will be a mix of online and in-person events.

The festival will launch with a sustainability market in Harpenden on Sunday 15th May. Community groups, businesses and faith groups across the area will then host two weeks of events from 15th to 31st May.

The Sustainability Festival is brought together by volunteers from the local environmental charity, Sustainable St Albans.

It’s a non-profit charity organised by volunteers representing sectors and groups in the local community.

Some of these groups include Wilder St Albans, Herts Asian Women Association, St Albans Friends of the Earth and Ver Valley Society.

From mid-April onwards, you’ll be able to see the full programme of events and activities. Some activities require advance booking which you can do via the website.
