To celebrate Britain’s heritage working with wool and to show off its diverse uses, events range from the Loch Ness Knit Fest (12-15 October) to special in store events at Vivienne Westwood in London (12 and 19 October).

At Carousel in London there’s the Wool Fusion exhibition until 15 October which features interiors, furnishings and fashion alongside craft workshops, wool yoga and a series of talks on how wool can aid sleep and its role in activewear. Entry is free.

Elsewhere, John Lewis will be arranging instore knitting and crafting demos, Yorkshire Textiles will host an event at Leeds Art Gallery on 22 October with Armley Mills and there’s spinning demos and wool craft workshops at Adam Henson Cotswolds Farm Park all this week.
