Swap bottles for beats this Bank Holiday weekend

Swedish cider brand Kopparberg are taking to the streets of East London this Bank Holiday with their own recycling rig.

This musical dustbin on wheels will be turning empties into ecstatic music. Well, if you like DJ Yoda and Pixie Geldof. Both will be manning the decks on the rig at Number 90, Hackney Wick on Saturday 26 August.

Kopparberg Recycling Rig in Hackney

Keep rollin', rollin', rollin'...for recyclin'

The recycling rig has been built out of reclaimed wood and houses 30 speakers and it runs on empty bottles, so the more handed in, the longer it plays (we’re not sure if you can bring your own empties from home…). It's been touring London parks to encourage recycling this week before its final destination of Hackney Wick on Saturday.

And...there's complimentary Kopparberg cider and lager to encourage your environmental efforts.

Rob Salvesen, Senior Marketing Manager at Kopparberg says, “We’ve launched the Recycling Rig to encourage us all to do our bit whilst having a good time. This reflects a saying we live by in Kopparberg town, called Fanga Dågen, which translates to life is what you make it. After trading bottles for beats in parks across the capital, we look forward to rolling the Kopparberg Recycling Rig into Number 90 to power one last party!”
