Nancarrow Farm in Cornwall will host 1,000 Mouths, or four nights of feasting this October, in aid of Action Against Hunger. Top chefs will take the reins each night while the concept will see a single bullock reared on the farm feed 1,000 people.

Nancarrow Farm is an organic farm near Truro and it will work with chefs including Gill Meller, Andy Appleton (Appleton’s at the Vineyard), River Cottage and James Knappett (Bubbledogs & Kitchen Table). They’ll work their magic with the bull and organic veg grown on the farm, topped up by Cornwalls’ best local suppliers.
Steve Chamberlain from Nancarrow said: “We can’t wait to welcome these fantastic chefs to cook with our team at Nancarrow. As well as being one of the most exciting food events in Cornwall, 1,000 Mouths aims to raise money for a really worthwhile cause, whilst demonstrating how versatile great beef can be."

Chef Gill Meller said: “For me, the best kind of cooking and eating celebrates seasonal ingredients produced sustainably. I know this is an ethos shared by the team at Nancarrow Farm.
“To be able to enjoy ingredients in the environment in which they have been reared or grown is very special, and Nancarrow’s 1,000 Mouths festival will provide people with the perfect opportunity to do just that, whilst also raising funds for an excellent cause.”
Each evening the farm’s three barns will seat people at long trestle tables, cocktails will be served next to the fire pit and the three courses will be concocted at the farm’s purpose built open kitchen.
1,000 Mouths feast tickets start at £40 per person.
